Prague’s “Little Quarter” on the hillside below the castle hasn’t changed much since the 18th century. Endowed with parks and gardens as well as historic buildings, it is one of the city’s most delightful areas, overlooking the Old Town across the Charles Bridge.
Aboutthe Alchymist Residence Nosticova
Welcome to our historical 17th century Residence, located at the end of one of the most romantic and quiet cobblestone street in Mala Strana!
A number of careful conservators of Czech churches and castles, as well as skilled carpenters, plasterers, ceramists, decorators and fresco painters worked for more than two years with attention to details and passion for beauty to refurbish this old mansion into the charming Alchymist Residence Nosticova.
Just two minutes away from the famous Charles Bridge, the Residence is surrounded by antique galleries, typical restaurants and famous concert halls, and it lies in the walking distance from the most prominent Embassies, the Czech Parliament and the Senate, the National theatre, Saint Nicholas cathedral and the Castle.
We are pleased to offer you 15 different suites, each of them furnished with valuable antiques and arts, and equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, direct dial telephone, high speed internet access, safe and minibar. On the ground floor, a small spa invites you for a relaxing Balinese massage.
We wish you the most enjoyable stay in our Residence and unforgettable moments in the beautiful city of Prague.

stayed at the Alchymist in Septembrer 2009. I read the reviews on Alchymist and was not disappointed. The room was terrific as was the breakfast. Location was good and the staff was extremely helpful in all respects. I would definitely stay here again.

Can be tough to find by car, but they do have parking available directly at the hotel. Only drive in this part of Prague if you have a great sense of adventure. The staff is great. We had two very nice rooms. Excellent plumbing. Over the top baroque decor. High speed internet worked. Small intimate hotel. Breakfast very nice and priced fairly.
Great park location on Kampa Island for easy walking to all the major sites. Convenient to the Charles Bridge, with ATM near there. Must walk the Charles Bridge at night.
Our best meal was at the Blue Duck Restaurant, about 30 meters from the hotel.
Prague was so visually stunning and so much more of a great European city than we had ever imagined. By all means make travel to Prague a top priority.
Would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

Have just returned from 3 nights staying at the Alchymist Residence Nosticove in Prague. If you want to stay some where very unique and unforgettable then this is the place for you. Prague is so beautiful – add to your lovely memories of this city by staying here rather than a faceless hotel room that looks like any other. The rooms are breathtaking, so luxurious and opulant. I am very hard to please, but I fell in love with this place. The crystal dining room is something very special – I like to eat somewhere different every night but this place captured our hearts and we ate there every night! Fabulous food and not outrageous prices. Many thanks to Boban for making us feel so welcome and making us laugh – he is an absolute credit to the hotel, suh a lovely guy. Location is brilliant. You will not regret booking this hotel.

The Residence Nosticova exceeded our expectations. The room decor is a little over the top, but somehow seems appropriate in Prague. We liked staying on the Mala Strana, Little Quarter, neighborhood of the city. The Old Town area is so congested and filled with tour groups that we enjoyed the somewhat quieter Mala Strana. Had an excellent dinner at the hotel’s garden restaurant.
At the hotel we were impressed by the friendly attitude of Jana Kratochvilova, the Event Manager fro the Alchymist hotels. She was a font of information and enthusiasm.
While in Prague we used the services of Mike’s Chauffeur. Found them to be a little on the expensive side but offered reliable and cheerful service by English speaking drivers.

We stayed at Alchymist Residence Nosticova for one night, the room was perfect, the service was excellent and the complete house had the charme of a mystique castle-must visit!

I spent a short week here in September. I will echo all the praises given by the other reviewers. I would emphasize a couple of features: the room size, the location and the spa facilities. The rooms are extremely spacious, even by European luxury standards (for non suite rooms). Closet and storage space is more than I’ve had in some of my apartments. And contrary to a previous reviewer on a business trip bemoaning the lack of a working desk, my room had a very adequate desk with accessible power outlets for my laptop (the free wireless provided is good and fast).
This hotel is the sister hotel to the opulent and more expensive Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa located lesss than a 10 walk away. I had access to their spa and health club facilities. But what was especially nice was the ability to book a massage through that spa, but have the massage at my location. There is a nice room on the ground floor of the Alchymist Residence explicitly for massages. This made it very convenient. And the price of the one hour massage was not outrageously priced(1,300Kc).
The location is excellent, not only because the proximity of the Charles Bridge, but also because there are so many of Prague’s best restaurants nearby. Just around the corner is “The Blue Duckling” (U modre kachnicky) which serves excellent duck. One block further up the street is Café de Paris, a lovely casual bistro that serves a very good Parisian entrecôte (don’t miss the frites). And for a truly exceptional meal, try Coda in the Hotel Aria, a few minutes away. Located on a rooftop, it offers the best al fresco dining with nice city views. And the food is London/New York City gourmet quality. The ambiance of all of the above fall in the category of ‘romantic dining’.
The Alchymist’s own restaurant can, on a balmy summer nice, offer both good food and a romantic setting. Outdoors across from the hotel, the nicely appointed candle-lit setting can make for a lovely and intimate dining experience. Be warned, on Wednesday nights, the same restaurant turns into a salsa disco, and the ambiance becomes quite different. But the people watching can be quite fun.
One thing to be careful about is the confusion between this hotel and its sister hotel. Twice during this trip car service drivers took me to the Grand Hotel and Spa despite my clear specification of the Alchymist Residence. One driver even had to ask a bellman where this hotel was located. Also, don’t be put off when you drive up. The front and reception areas of the hotel, which is tucked away in a back street, is very plain. it looked to me more like a boarding house than a luxury hotel. Fear not, once upstairs in your room, it is opulent and comfortable.

My wife and I spend 4 days in the Alchymist Residence Hotel and it exceeded our high expectations from the moment we were collected at the airport by their driver and dropped off for our return flight to UK. The staff were wonderful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the food excellent. Drinks and dinner in the Garden restaurant provided a romantic and relaxing end to a day’s walking in Prague.
Wonderful Balinese masseuses and a very therapeutic spa.! We will definitely visit again.

We went with another couple and bought flight and hotel package from lastminute.com. First of all, Prague is a beautiful city and the hotel is perfectly located…only few minutes from the famous Charles Bridge yet in a nice quiet street away from the major hussle. It is the smaller hotel compared to its big brother ‘Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa’ which suited us. We got more information from the hotel’s website itself rather than lastminute.com, however, the hotel has a lot more to offer with its atmosphere, people, staff, location, and value. We stayed in the room called ‘Mozart’ and it was beautifully decorated and was quite big and spacious. It had all the facilities including his and her bathrobes abd slippers and kettle, however, the room did not have a proper in-room tea/coffee service. Room service was fast in response so that made up for the early morning caffeine rush..however, a complimentary tea/coffee service would have been appreciated. Because the hotel is quite detailed in its decoration and its overall service, I would have expected minor details to be handled such as the first time we ordered tea/coffee, it was served in a dirty stainless steel tray with a rubber mash followed by second time service of a pretty tray and everything in it but no milk. I also found that the glass top tables in the room were not thoroughly cleaned and had sticky areas and cup marks. Having said that, the hotel has a beautiful garden terrace across the main residence building. It has a bit of mediterranean / persian feel to it and offers great food and drinks. We never ate in the hotel’s restaurant throughout our stay but we had our breakfast in the hotel. Dinning experience in the hotel can be a bit dark and heavy on the baroque and mirrors but I liked it! Now going to the service aspect – I would put this hotel as one of the best ones I have stayed at when it comes to overall service. Both Martin and Sladjana were fantastic front desk staff but more than that they were great in providing conceirge services and took care of all our minute requirements. Katrina and Boban were fantastic waitressing staff at the hotel – they went out of their way to please us and made us feel very hospitable. As I said earlier, the hotel is small in size but that is what made it special for us and we got to know the people involved in running it which you would not get in bigger establishments. So, for us, great experience in a pretty city with excellent value for money…

Our experience at this boutique hotel was excellent. The room we had was large, clean and quiet. Ornately decorated but it worked. The staff were friendly and accommodating . The breakfast was quite large and the waitress was sweet. We had one dinner in the courtyard across the road (also part of the hotel). It was actually their weekly “salsa party”. The food was above average and the experience was fun. There were many locals enjoying the evening. The hotel is a little off the beaten track (which is both good and bad). On balance we really liked this spot and would recommend it to others without hesitation

I really dont know were to start, its just perfect, the full on luxury accommodation, but with the friendliness and level of helpfulness, and service of a really nice tourist agent.
We were met in the lobby by a lovely lady, in 1-2-3 we were booked inn and in our extremely posh, daintily and welcoming room at the topfloor. Immediatly we fell completely in love with the room. The bed, and sheets I think were a slice of pure heaven. and the Bathroom. *sigh* the bathroom. This has to be experienced. The tub were enjoyed the two of two evenings, with sparckling liquids in our glasses.
And the food at both Alchymist resturants are to die for, especially the fish dishes and the lovely chocolate moellux at alchymist Grand hotel the Aqaurius.
The breakfast is lovely and serene, served as the perfect start of yet another great day.
You may find out that it is not the cheapest accommadation, but it is well worth it. the interior both in the whole hotel, the several parts of resturant and aswell as the rooms are absolutely adorable, and the amazing mirror part of the resturant is eye-gazing and chin dropping to the floor.
I would just love to return. And in the possible distant future a wedding party at the Mirror room, would be my dream wedding party.
The Location is perfect, a 10 min walk from all the touristy-stuff, a laidback and chill area, located on the other side of the river. Where several nice cafees and chocolate shops can easily be found.

According to all good reviews it not a secret but it still was a pleasant surprise.
We stayed in this hotel during our vocation in Europe in August. I will not list all the great things that was mentioned in the previous reviews they are all true. From our experience with more luxuries big 5-6 star hotels this one is so personal, warm and friendly with staff that professional, yet very personal and genuine in their desire to help and make our stay memorable. Small things make a great hotel. We really enjoyed having Dasa Gubova as a receptionist. Her warm, cheerful very professional approach is a big asset to this hotel. The other day receptionist that we do not remember her name gave us valuable, friendly advise to our trip to Karlovy vary. Event manager Jana Kvatochvilova was there for us to help with the breakfast, to help find good places to eat and to shop.
Evening receptionist Hokza Fulik surprised us after our return from Karlovy Vary with our room being ready with our stored luggage being delivered to the room before our arrival. The girl who served us breakfast every day remembered our preferences and was very friendly. We are very grateful to this team of people who made our stay memorable. Marina and Mikhail. USA

This is an absolute gem of a hotel. Located in a quiet street only 5 mins walk from Charles bridge.
Upon arrival we were upgraded for free to a junior suite. The rooms are spacious and full of character. The room was immaculately clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
The staff were so friendly and helpful and we would recommend using the hotel taxi service to and from the airport.
This hotel makes your experience in Prague even more special. Cannot recommend highly enough and we will definitely be

We stayed at this hotel our last night in Prague as a treat to us. The room was so romantic and cozy. The shower was great which we were glad to have our last night. The staff helped us make arrangements to the airport the next day and were very helpful. The location was perfect and close to the castle steps and St. Nicholas. The hotel was located on a quiet street though. It was nice to have such a romantic room.
October 21st, 2009 at 4:13 am
This hotel was absolutely lovely. After reading other reviewers’ stories about booking in a nice hotel and then being switched to a not-so-nice hotel upon arrival to Prague, I was a bit nervous about our stay. When we arrived at the Alchymist, the woman working at the front desk informed us that the room type we had booked was unavailable, however this hotel’s solution was to upgrade our room type to a suite! The front desk was also very helpful in suggesting restaurants in the area and directions to different areas of the city.
The room was beautiful, spacious, clean. Had AC and free internet. The bathroom was enormous and lovely as well. There was also an in-room safe, which was a pleasant surprise.
The hotel itself was beautiful and very carefully maintained. The location was perfect: a 1 block walk to the tram station. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Prague. We could have gotten a cheaper room at another hotel, but this was worth every penny, esp. for the AC, which is hard to come by in Prague and definitely a bonus during a summer vacation stay.
October 21st, 2009 at 4:14 am
We found Residence Nosticova absolutely enchanting, due to its position in Prague ( 5 minutes walk to Malestranska Nemesti – Karluv most ), its charming environment, its astonishing Gothic room Vaclav IV in which, just to say, we could look to ourselves everyday in the bathroom’s furnishing… We advice it to everyone who wants an extremely romantic and relaxing vacation in Prague !

My wife and I stayed at the Alchemyst for 6 nights (3 – 9 August) having found the hotel on Trip Advisor. It is a magnificent example of luxury and oppulence. The room was great, the staff excellent, the breakfasts wonderful. Enjoy the frre wine and cheese tasting every afternoon at 5pm – 6pm. We had a one hour massage in the spa, again wonderful and very professional staff. As we said “Wow” and chocolates on the pillow every night.

We book our rooms few months ago so we get a good discount .I arrive 2 days after my girlfriend and i was thinking for an upgrade , i was suprised when i realize that we get the upgrade as coplimentary. The young staff are superbly trained so they smile all the time with friendliness, charm and the confidence to help you in every way.The rooms decoration is a Magical and romantic far away from much more expensive hotels(extremely clean too). The location is excellent in a quite street , within walking distance of everything. If you visit Prague this hotel is a must.

Alchymist Residence Nosticova in Pragues is a charming, QUIET, romantic hotel decorated in traditional style furniture. I would HIGHLY recommend for couples looking for privacy – but NOT for single travelers or business travelers.
The hotel was renovated about a year ago, so everything is clean and new. The location is a convenient walk to the castle and the Charles Bridge. The staff are all fabulous and couldn’t be more helpful.
This hotel was just too quiet and boring for my taste. If I could redo this visit, I would have spent 5 nights in Old Town or New Town, where there is a lot more happening.
This place would be perfect for a very quiet, romantic getaway such as a wedding trip, etc. The air conditioning works well. The bathroom is big and clean. There is both a shower and a Victorian-style handheld showerhead.
There don’t appear to be in-room desks for business travelers – but there is free wireless internet, which is nice.
The breakfast area was WAY TOO DARK and boring. It has the feel of a crypt – but a charming crypt.
October 21st, 2009 at 4:14 am
We stayed here for three nights, largely because of TripAdvisor recommendations. The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful, as noted by others. The location was just about perfect — close to a lovely little park, within walking distance of everything from the ‘little Eiffel tower’ to a not-touristy area on the other side of the river, and surprisingly quiet.

Our first trip to prague. We found this hotel on sashahotelsprague.com and at the time of booking this hotel was No 7 in the top list for Prague but was at No 4 in July 2009. I can only add to the numerous good reviews. Airport pick up / return service 60 EUR was very good in a nice Air Con Crysler. Professional pleasant service. I had read about Taxi rip offs and so we went for the hotels own service. The reception staff were very attentive with immediate response to any requests or needs. Breakfast service could have been a little better, and that is my only critisism of our 4 day stay. The 5 minute walk to the sister hotel and use for free of the small indoor swimming pool and relaxing area was a bonus. The location of the hotel is to the left of the Charles bridge about 300 metres / 4 mins walk. This means you are in the quiet part of town but can walk to the crowded Astronomical clock square across the bridge in 15 mins. This is a nice walk. The hotel had a package on offer which inviolved booking and paying 50% in advance. This enabled us to get a Rate of about 110 EUR per night, or in real terms about half of the 200 EUR a night that hotels in the old town square area wanted. This was no low class, shabby hotel at all for that price. You may have guessed by now that YES I recommend it. Ok now leaving the hotel behind I would like to talk about prague in general. It is the second most vistited city in Europe. They know this and all hotels and restuarants within the 1 mile of centre radius (and this is where you will stay) cost as much as eating out in London. Pizza / Pasta restuarants are the cheapest at about 9 GBP for a main. The other restuarants are 14 GBP for a main. The drinks and even ice cream prices (Hagandaas / Ben and Jerrys) had my jaw dropping. 5.50 GBP for 3 scoops of ice cream. Very pretty city. Do plan and budget a little higher for your meals. It was almost impossible to find a quiet cheaper area of prague away from tourists / those prices.

We have just returned from our second stay at the wonderful Residence Nosticova which has to be our favourite hotel anywhere in the World. The location is excellent in a quite street a few minutes from Charles Bridge, the staff are really friendly and helpful, the service is outstanding and the rooms are amazing. The food in the restaurant is also not to be missed!
We love the hotel so much that we are planning on having our wedding celebrations there next year!! Thanks to Lucie and all the staff for a really enjoyable, if a little too short, stay.

The Alchymist Is a Magical, romantic gem in the heart of Prague. My wife Nikola, who is Czech, and I , have Stayed at most of the luxury hotels in the Czech Republic. No other hotel throughout this beautiful country comes close to the charm and truly wonderful accommodations of the Alchymist. Totally quiet and intimate as it sits at the very wall and entrance to Prague Castle. A few minute walk takes you to castle’s embarchments, Charles Bridge, the city square or to one of the many parks along the river. This hotel does transform an ordinary stay into gold!

We stayed at the Alchymist Residence Nosticova in May; this was for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We were delighted with the accommodation, the rooms were well services, spacious and excellent décor, the customer service was very good, and the hotel’s restaurant food was 5 star, overall this was a great experience, the hotel is situated a 5 minute walk from Charles Bridge, and not to far from the Castle.
Would highly recommend the Alchymist Residence Nosticova to all
October 21st, 2009 at 4:16 am
I stayed at Alchimist Residence Nosticova for 6 nights in May and had a wonderful time in Prague. Upon arrival, I was upgraded to the Royal Suite and immediately fell in love with the place! It was not a room, it was a gorgeous apartment, spacious, and spotless. It even has a grand piano. What a great touch! I always dreamed of having one. This vacation ended up being very relaxing. There was no pressure, the food was good, and the service excellent. From the moment the driver picked me up at the airport and played my favorite music on his CDs, I new I was in for a great vacation. The location is excellent. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood, it is walking distance to great restaurants and sightseeing, and only 2 blocks away from public transit. I highly recommend this hotel.
October 21st, 2009 at 4:16 am
My wife and I spent four nights in this wonderful hotel. It is located in a quiet part of the elegant Mala Strana (left bank) side of the city. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel has a delightful garden area for drinks, which was the starting point for the evening’s activities and the point to which we returned at the end of the evening for a pre-bed night-cap. There are fitness facilities and a pool in a nearby location, which are available free of charge to hotel guests, although we were too busy with sight-seeing to get around to using these. We stayed in one of the junior suites which had a kitchenette and LCD TV and DVD player. One great thing about this hotel is the availability of free high speed internet access which actually works and had good signal strength throughout the hotel (and not just in public areas); this may seem a nerdy point, but it is incredibly helpful to have internet access to be able to research restaurants etc while on a trip. As for negative points, there weren’t any – it was all good!
October 21st, 2009 at 4:17 am
This is a wonderful small hotel in a quiet area but only a couple of minutes walk to the Charles Bridge. We stayed in a beautiful suite which exceeded our expectations. The young staff are superbly trained so they smile all the time with friendliness, charm and the confidence to help you in every way. They arranged transport from the airport, a dinner cruise and a beauty treatment, and all the arrangements were faultless. There is a beauty treatment room in the hotel and a swimming pool and spa available in their nearby sister hotel. We had an excellent dinner in their garden restaurant.
October 21st, 2009 at 4:17 am
Had a wonderful stay at the Alchymist Residence Nosticova. Fantastic location – lovely, quite cobbled streets and only 5 minutes walk from the Charles Bridge. Our room (junior suite) was clean, spacious and had character (unlike a lot of the corporate hotels). Staff were so helpful and breakfast was excellent. Also, there’s a gorgeous bar and patio garden where you can relax and enjoy a drink in the sunshine.
I had a complementary massage at the sister hotel, Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa (5 min walk away) – absolutely fantastic. Guests at the Alchymist Residence Nosticova can use the fitness suite at the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa, which is definitely recommended for the small but lovely pool, gym, steam room, sauna, etc.
October 21st, 2009 at 4:17 am
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and feature hardwood floors, gleaming chandeliers and sheets of the highest thread count. Beyond that, the woman at the front desk helped me at every turn, providing me with maps, help with taxi, restaurant recommendations, anything I needed. If you plan to go to Prague, this is the place to stay.
October 21st, 2009 at 4:17 am
I stayed at the Alchymist Nosticova with my wife during June 19-21, 2009 and what a delight that was! We stayed in a rooftop room with a bath tub (could never remember the name of the room!) which was fabulous, big bath tub, nice decorations and you even have a window above your bed so you can see the stars at night! Special thanks to Dasa (and good luck on your final exam!) and the gentleman who served us dinner at the Alchymist garden who was superb!
October 21st, 2009 at 4:17 am
Only a 5 minute walk to the Charles Bridge, but located in a low-key section of town. A variety of good restaurants at reasonable prices are close by. Our room had an adjacent semi-private lounge and kitchen. It was spacious, elegantly decorated, and had a large modern bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. Every person we met at the hotel had an excellent command of the English language and was friendly, outgoing, and professional. The hotel is reasonably priced and is equipped with restaurant, bar & lounge, free entry to the gym at the Alchymist other facility, and other unexpected extras. What you see on their web-site is what you get. Do not overlook this place.

This was our starting point for a three week 40th anniversary trip to Northern Europe, and we were enchanted with this beautiful boutique hotel. The service and staff were personable, charming and very helpful. They arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and take us to the train station when it was time to go. The room was large and magnificent with a kitchenette, eating area, lovely poster bed, wonderful bathroom and even a safe behind a painting. The restaurant was also elegant and the food delicious. Breakfast was amazing, with everything available from fruit, breads, cereal and choice of hot choices, including eggs. This is a small hotel in a quiet area. Very romantic! Easy walking to everything, though it is a long walk back from the astrological clock square in the rain. Public transportation is available and close. We would definitely return here — and send others! Thank you!

We always travel somewhere special to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Staying in a good comfortable hotel is part of that experience. We were not disappointed with the Alchymist Residence Nosticova. This hotel is a gem, being situated in a quite part of the City nestling amongst the Embassies, but only a few minutes walk from Charles Bridge. We were delighted to be upgraded to the “Arcimboldo” suite on the first floor. Amongst other things, this impressive room with its fantastic vaulted ceiling featured a generous four poster bed, a glorious crystal chandelier and a lovely marble bathroom. The staff, whether in reception or in the Restaurants, were very friendly and helpful. The main Restaurant is lovely and the “Crystal Room” quite a spectacle. More importantly, the food was excellent with a Moroccan twist accompanied by impeccable service whether at breakfast (with, unlike a previous review, fresh fruit) or dinner. We also enjoyed good food and service in their Garden Restaurant, a stones throw across the narrow street from the hotel, which has a nice relaxed informal feel. My only suggestion is perhaps a different lighter menu would be more appropriate here. We enjoyed their “favoured” package which at the time included a meal for 100Euro, or Spa treatments at their nearby sister hotel, as well as transport to or from the Airport – excellent value. If you want that extra luxurious experience, for a fee, they will take you or pick you up from the airport in their Rolls Royce! Overall, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a special stay.

What a fabulous place! We have stayed in many fine hotels all over the world but nothing can beat this one for charm and sheer opulence. The decor in our very large room was sumptuous – fabric on the walls, a huge comfy bed, designer window treatments, polished wood floors… a dream. The entire hotel was decorated in an eclectic manor that worked beautifully.
All of this was in lovely contrast to the small, charming, quiet hotel the Alchymist Residence really is! Located on a sleepy backstreet, only a short walk from shopping, restaurants, transportation and the St. Charles Bridge, this hotel offers the best of both worlds!
We finished each day’s sightseeing with a drink in the beautiful outdoor patio/bar, complete with cosy blankets at each chair in case of cool weather. Delightful!
We had dinner in the amazingly decorated dining room on the first night of our three night stay and it was so good we returned on the last night. The food and personal service were superb and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
We honestly don’t think we would have enjoyed Prague as much as we did — and we enjoyed it very much – had we stayed anywhere else. We hope for a return to this hotel next year!
October 21st, 2009 at 4:18 am
The decoration of the alchymist hotel is splendid, a mix of madern and typic barrocco.
The location is ideal because very calm and closed to all of historic monuments by walk. We felt very comfortable
Breakfast is complete, and would be perfect if there were some fresh fruits.
There was a high level of service to suport us in our stay (opera booking…)

This nice, quiet, aesthetic warm boutique hotel is perfectly located in the old part of Prague, just 5 minutes walking distance from the Carole bridge (Castle entrance) and surrounded by an area with nice bars and restaurants. The rooms are big, well painted and heavily decorated but this matches perfectly to how the baroque style Prague looks anyway, so the first kitsch impression becomes a sweet feeling up from the first moment.
Upon my arrival I was offered a step up of the room that I have booked, so I stayed in a wonderful suite at the third floor. Big room, comfortable bed, perfectly clean, large bathroom offering all the comforts possible, what else could I expect? For me it is a lovely 5* boutique hotel for your stay in Prague

Prague was my last stop on a five-city tour of eastern Europe and what a way to end an amazing two-week vacation! The hotel is literally just a minute or two walk from the famous Charles Bridge, but tucked away in a neighborhood you would swear was Paris. It literally is the absolute perfect location, very close to a park, the water, great restaurants, everything!!! I loved this hotel! My room, especially the bathroom, was perfect – very spacious and with all the best amenties, the rain shower was perfection.
The staff so warm and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the garden restaurant across the street was a wonderful a very zen, peaceful outdoor patio setup. I also visited the spa at the sister hotel five minutes away and it was divine. I booked a three hour package and was extremely pleased with the setting and services. I would return to this hotel in an instant!
* My ratings for this hotel

This hotel is an absolute gem. The location is perfect: a quiet, charming back street, close to a magical park, and only a few minutes away (on foot) to Charles Bridge, yet removed enough to be silent. The service is impeccable. The food is really good (breakfasts are generous). And the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. I plan to return to beautiful Prague and would not even consider staying anywhere else.

Spent a couple of nights at the Alchymist, an experience which added considerably to our enjoyment of this lovely city.
The hotel is housed in an historic old building down a quiet street in Mala Strana. It is an easy walk to the city centre over Charles Bridge. We had one of the two deluxe rooms on the top floor of the building, with views over the rooftops to Prague castle and St Vitus’s cathedral. The room was very well equipped and decorated, with a large bathroom (although no bathtub). Bottled water, bathrobes and slippers were provided.
There was a private sitting room, kitchen and dining area, but these were shared with the other top floor room and we didn’t use them.
Dinner in the restaurant was excellent; a modern, Mediterranean menu, majoring on seafood (a bit odd, considering how far Prague is inland). Alfresco meals and drinks are served in the pleasant garden.
The decor of the entire hotel is astonishing; just on the tasteful side of over the top.
This is an extremely good small hotel, well kept and presented, with an excellent, friendly staff. I recommend it very highly.

Very beautiful hotel with pleasant staff (especially in the reception) .
Rooms are very big and comfortable, have nice view.
Cleanliness on high level only restaurant in the garden is terrible. We had to wait for our dishes about one hour and for the bill almost half an hour. I wolud like to recomment this hotel but not restaurant in the garden.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and loved it! The location is in a quiet neighborhood yet close enough to walk to many of the city’s main attractions (Prague castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, etc.) Staff was friendly, helpful and spoke english. Our room was spacious!, decorated in old world style, with fabric walls, gilded details, chandelier, old paintings, very ornate. One of the best hotels in Europe!

We have spent 2 nights in this hotel and just loved it. The room and bathroom were spacious (we were in room 312). We even had a third small room which was a kitchen. The location is very good – 5min walk through small streets to the Karlsbridge. Opposite the hotel, there is a small garden where you can have dinner or drinks. It’s perfect to chill out after a day of sightseeing. We also used the spa in the sister hotel (Alchymist Grand Hotel) which is 5min walk. There is a small fitness studio, small pool and sauna. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We will certainly come back to this hotel again.

This hotel is one of my favorites not only in Prague but in entire Europe. The atmosphere of the hotel is almost unreal and an invalueable addition to the mystique that Prague as city already offers.
The Rooms are extremely well decorated with romantic design and luxury furniture. There are only 14 rooms in the hotel so you will feel special allready from the beginning of your stay. The Service is hight above average and the kind staff helped me a lot during my last weekend in Prauge.
Location is absolutely fantastic. Just a few blocks away from Charles Bridge. The hotel is located in a calm street and is a great hideaway from the busy tourist walks. Maybe thats why celebrities use to stay here. Nosticova is located right in the middle of Mala Strana, one of Europes most romantic locations.
If you stay here I would also recommend the outdoor restaurant that belongs to the hotel. Very nice and romantic.

Perfect location, cosy and calm even though is in the centre of the town (and Prague is REALLY a town that never sleeps!). Completely renewed. Beakfast is good and abundant of everything. Staff nice and kind. A little too kitsch, but it’s part of its fashion. We spent there only two days and had not time to experiment all services we read about.
