Description
In one of the most historically significant areas of Prague (Vyšehrad), the Arcadia Residence combines the comfort of hotel services with the independence and intimacy of an apartment. It was in Vyšehrad, which is considered to be the first settlement in the Bohemian capital, that Princess Libuše prophesied the birth „of a great city, whose fame will spread throughout the world“.
This quarter has preserved an authentic Prague atmosphere and an envious tranquillity, despite it being close to the areas most frequented by mass tourism. The Old City and Charles Bridge are in fact easily reachable on public transport in about five-ten minutes.
The building which hosts the residence dates back to 1896 and has recently been restructured following rigorous quality standards in respect of Italian tradition. The artefact now on display in the reception area offers a suggestive testimony of the past. It was found inside a bottle during the restoration work. This is a message from a worker involved in the building’s construction more than a hundred years ago.
The care paid to the details and furniture, in the style of the early part of the last century, give the apartments, which are of various sizes, a „homely“ feel which characterises the Residence, also thanks to careful and friendly family management. The limited number of apartments helps guarantee guests a peaceful stay. But mainly this allows us to treat you warmly and to offer you special attention.
The breakfast service is provided directly to your rooms, depending on individual requirements, making your stay even more relaxing and made to measure.
All the apartments have a fully-equipped kitchen or cooking area, which makes the Arcadia Residence an ideal place also for medium and long-term stays.

In the last week of september we stayed at Arcadia Residence at Vyšehrad and we also loved it. In all the reviews everything already has been said, and we only can confirm it. But we particularly want to thank Max and mama for their outstanding service (in fact it is worth more than 5-star rating), the superb breakfast and the warm caring. Arcadia is definitely Prague’s Nr. 1.
We’ll meet again, that is for sure.

Stayed for 3 nights earlier this month and agree that this deserves a very high recommendation. The taxi from the airport was comfortable, fast and eficient and we were warmly welcomed by Kitty & AnnMarie at the Residence near the Vysherad fortress. (It can be confusing as the sashahotelsprague reviews cover 2 places – one near Old Town square and one further out at Vysherad which is the one we stayed in – though when you read the reviews it is soon clear which place the reviewer stayed in) We used a combination of tram and very pleasant walk by the river to get into town and didn’t need the offered service of being walked to the tram stop as the 2 tram stops close by (on different routes into town) are very easy to find. The apartment was very good, though we did find the bed a little hard but that was our only criticism and doesn’t detract from the overall impression of high quality service and a high standard apartment. It seems that Pasquale lives in the town centre residence and his mother, AnnMarie, lives out at Vysherad so we didn’t meet Pasquale.
As to Prague, the sun shone for us and the city was beautiful (and that’s not just the dark beer talking!). There is so much I could recommend but I’ll stick to just one – the Municipal House Tour was excellent.
A nice touch on departure, Kitty phoned Pasquale so that he could speak to me to personally check that we had enjoyed our stay and I was able to confirm that his mother does serve an excellent breakfast!

Stayed at Arcadia Residence with five friends from the 1st till the 4th of October 2009.This visit to the woderful city of Prague was made even better by Pasquale at the Arcadia Residence in Old town. He is the most helpful accommodating propietor that i have ever come across in my travels – nothing was too much trouble for him in making our stay wonderful. Our apartments were huge, clean and had all the home comforts. Breakfast everyday was abundant and tasty. The location was exceptional and we could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. My friends and i would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to everyone and i will definitely stay there again on my next trip to fabulous Prague

My family and I only stayed here for one night, but we wish it had been longer. The place is owned by a very sweet old Italian lady. We had a two bedroom apartment on the top floor. We parked a block over and used the street meters; it didn’t cost too much. The service and the apartment were impeccable. The location was just a block away from castle grounds, too. It was also very nice having breakfast delivered to our room. The selection of food was very good. I will stay here whenever I’m in Prague.

We stayed five days in Prague, with our teenagers. I read about the apartment before going, and I were not disappointed. Our apartment was located in Vyšehrad. The location was good, thanks to the often-goings trams in Prague. Ten minutes walk to the undergroundstation, and all the town can be reached in minutes! One thing must be mentioned: The breakfast is so good and deliciously! Even our tired teenagers, waked up easily, when it was delivered our room. When you stay here, you dont need a tourist office: Kitty know where to go, arranges Taxi, and is helpful finding timetables for trains and trams.

My husband and I, with our college-age daughter, stayed here (apartment in Old Town) for 6 nights. Based on previous reviews we expected a good accomodation, but honestly the prior reviews were not nearly superlative enough!
In addition to the very fine apartment, a stay here makes you feel like you’re actually living in Prague than visiting. It gave us a very good feeling and one quite unlike a hotel stay.
With a modern interior, comfortable furniture and a perfect location one and one-half blocks from the Old Town Square, why would anyone book a hotel! Our apartment was on the second floor (elevator available) and had tall windows all along one side of the three-room apartment. The building itself outside has the look of a Baroque-era building, but inside is thoroughly restored and modernized.
There was a separate bedroom for us and a pull-out (comfortable) couch for our daughter. The living room/dining/room/kitchen combo had modern, yet comfortable furniture, a big-screen television and available wi-fi. Lovely light and so quiet! We slept well each night and never saw or heard any of the other apartment residents.
Breakfast was served each morning at a bistro across the pedestrian-only street (Kozna). Literallyt, outside the apartment main door, this bistro is 10 steps away. Service was friendly; selections were plentiful and we had hot and cold options. Later we ate a delightful lunch and were equally pleased.
The apartment is very centrally located. In less than two blocks in several directions, one can reach the subway, the tram, Wenceslas SquareHavelska Market, an internet cafe and Old Town Square.
Host Pasquale Gusmano works hard to make one feel welcome. He helped me the first night find toiletries due to a lost bag and took delivery of the bag later so that I didn’t have to waste time waiting on an airline. He arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport, another for our daughter, return trips to the same and we paid for it all with a credit card at the end of our stay. He provided a box breakfast for our daughter who left on an early-morning flight and made sure she received it from another driver when drove her off before Pasquale arrived with the food. What wonderful service!
Like a good friend, rather than a hotelier, he bid us good bye at the end of our stay with an Italian brush on each cheek and a small box of Belgian chocolates. We wold definitely stay here again and intend to recommend it to anyone traveling to Prague!

My husband and I stayed in the Arcadia apartments in the Old Town for three nights and had a wonderful time. Pasquale and Max made us feel incredibly welcome and gave us many useful tips for our time there.
We had booked a taxi through Pasquale and it was there when we arrived in Prague, whisking us off to the apartments. We arrived around 10.30am and our apartment was ready for us, very glad after an early flight. The apartment was a really good size, with comfortable living room and large bedroom. It was in an ideal location, about two minutes walk from the Old Town Square. On arrival Pasquale gave us a short tour of the area and recommended ATMs, money exchanges, restaurants – very appreciated.
We saw Max most mornings at breakfast and he recommended restaurants for us and made sure we were having a good stay. This personal attention was really nice and I doubt we would have received it in a large hotel. Our flight back to the UK wasn’t until the evening but Max allowed us to stay in our apartment until 7pm for no extra cost. again greatly appreciated.
I cannot rate the service from the Arcadia Residence high enough, their hospitality was brilliant and we cannot wait to return. We both really enjoyed Prague but found it a bit too busy in August. We hope to return in a quieter month and will definitely stay in these apartments again.

We were travelling by car and stayed in the Arcadia Residence, rather than the Old Town apartments that the family own. Parking is a problem in Prague, and parking cost us €20 per day extra in a commercial car park, even though we were half an hours walk from the old town.
The level of hospitality is, as most reviewers have remarked, absolutely incredible. One is welcomed, shown the area and generally looked after. Breakfast comes to your door by trolley, and contains almost enough to last you for lunch and dinner as well. You can then enjoy the breakfast in your apartment.
Being out of town is a drawback, and from reading other reviews, I am sure that one would be better in the family’s old town apartments. The apartment that we had was more “traditional” than “modern”, but did contain everything that was needed.
Overall excellent value for money, and hosts who were incredibly caring and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August and highly highly recommend it! It was the best place we stayed all throughout our trip. The apartment was amazing and our jaws dropped as soon as we opened the door. Pascale was more than accommodating and it was very much appreciated by us. He met us at breakfast each morning to make sure we had what we wanted and helped us with anything we needed. He really went above and beyond. The apartment was just around the corner from the Old Town Square and couldn’t have been closer to everything! We really enjoyed our stay!

We booked Arcadia Residence for 4 nights in July based on all of the rave reviews on trip advisor. The previous postings have detailed the awesome location, perfect apartments and superior Pascale and to this all we truly agree!!! My husband and I travel a lot, sometimes splurging but mostly economizing when it comes to accommodation. This is truly VALUE that we have never experienced before. When Pascale handed me chocolates, carried my super heavy suitcase down the stairs and down a street to meet an awaiting transfer to the airport I was pretty much speechless. On top of this, he provided us with a generous “take away” breakfast for the train. On the last day, I just don’t think I thanked him enough for all he did. This is what drives me to add my recommendation to a long list. THANK YOU! You helped make Prague exceptionally memorable!

My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at one of the Kozna 6 apartments which is centrally located in the Old Town district of Prague. Quite simply, the apartment was truly one of the nicest aspects of an exceptionally lovely vacation. It was surprisingly bright and airy with an expansive living room/kitchen, bedroom, and 1 1/2 baths. The ceilings were high and it was tastefully decorated at every detail. Wi-Fi was free. Pasquale met us at the entrance to the apartment and gave us a nice tour of both our accommodations and the surrounding neighborhood. We felt warmly welcomed. This apartment has an ideal location for all the sites in Prague. A generous and delicious breakfast was served in the restaurant adjacent to the apartment each morning. Although we left Prague quite early Saturday morning, Pasquale arranged to have a packed breakfast ready to take with us . . . what a treat. We would eagerly return here again and highly recommend all of the Arcadia residences to anyone looking for a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of tourism in a beautiful city.
October 21st, 2009 at 3:33 am
We stayed on the 4th floor room 18. Both rooms were large and airy. The balcony had great views over the city to the castle. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was modern with a bath.
Massive breakfast though.
Breakfast was brought up everyday smack on time by the owners mother. She was lovely and gave you a run through of all the things she’d brought up – albeit in Czech
We were picked up from the airport in a massive modern Merc. Which took the hastle out of everything.
Overall a wonderful stay. The owners are very helpful without being pushy, and provide great advice.
Slight nitpicking gripes: TV only had BBC News & CNN.

If you are going to Prague, which I highly recommend you do, we have found the perfect place to stay. We stayed 5 nights total at the Arcadia Old Town. This is owned and managed by the same people as the Arcadia Residence, but it is literally right in the heart of the historic district of Prague – Old Town Square. The location could not have been more perfect, and the management was so kind, helpful and considerate that we felt like family by the end of our stay.
We stayed in two large apartments at their Kozna 13 property. These included full kitchens, satellite TV, blackout blinds, bathtubs with showers, plenty of soft fluffy towels and crisp white linens; they even had bidets. The rooms had been recently remodeled and were comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had our own key to the building and it was very private and seemed secure. The apartment was clean to start, and was tidied each day. The price was very reasonable (an extraordinary value compared to our other accommodations on this trip) and included a delicious full breakfast which could be delivered to your rooms at any time you arrange, or could be eaten in a nearby cafe. The food was very good and delivered to the room when promised the one day we tried that. The breakfast in the cafe was fabulous the first two days, but less amazing the other two times we ate there. Much better than a hotel breakfast usually is, but the food in the cafe was much better some days than others.
The best amenity of all is that this lodging comes with Pasquale, a thoughtful and generous concierge/owner/manager who speaks several languages fluently and will not rest until your every need is met. Pasquale arranged for a hotel car to meet and deliver us when we arrived. He then met us at the car to take us and our bags to our rooms. He gave us an orientation tour of the old town, pointing out reliable money changers, good restaurants and bakeries, grocery stores, landmarks and the corner from which the tours left, all as a courtesy with no additional charge. He checked in with us every day, welcomed us to use his high speed internet to e-mail our pet sitters, arranged bus tickets and tours, provided advice when asked and offered us every kindness imaginable. He even ran all over town checking at stores until he found the distilled water my husband needed for his CPAP machine. We returned to our apartments one night to find a dish of home-made Tiramisu (the best I’ve ever tasted!) waiting for each of us in the refrigerator. Pasquale is like the favorite cousin you wish you had! He is scrupulously honest and refused to let us compensate him for all these extras.
We had a fabulous stay in Prague, Czech Republic, and if we ever get to go back, we will be sure to stay at the Arcadia Old Town

I used tripadvisor to research accommodation options in Prague and was certainly not disappointed with Arcadia.
Max and Maria were wonderful ambassadors for a wonderful city!
The personal touch that they provided during our stay made us feel like special friends or family, rather than guests.
Max was genuinely interested in our daily activities and exceptionally helpful with suggestions of where to eat and where to go.
Everything was just perfect and the breakfast was amazing.
We will definately be back in Prague again and look forward to re-visiting Arcadia.
Keep up the good work, Pasquale, Max and Maria.
In this busy, impersonal world, you have developed an exceptional product that is very special.

We just returned from a long trip through Eastern Europe with our three college age children. Whenever we travel, we try to find a centrally located city apartment so that we can go out walking late into the night. Plus, we need the space.
In the past ten years, we have rented apartments all over the world but our recent experience with Pasquale and Arcadia Apartments puts him at the very top. He had us delivered from the airport, gave us a short walk around town pointing out “real” restaurants, ATMs, internet cafes and the like. Pasquale’s office is 100 meters from his Old Town rentals and he was always available to answer questions.
Three of us left at 4:00 am for the airport, leaving our two daughters asleep in our perfect apartment. Pasquale even arranged a taxi pick-up so that they would make their train to Berlin. The entire experience was a delight and Pasquale’s personal touches made everything so easy.

I booked a three night stay at Kozna 6 as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday and based my choice on these reviews on here. I was definitely not disappointed! The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was on the fourth floor (there is a lift luckily!) and it was just perfect in every way: size (huge), location (great – 1 min from the Old Town Square, but off a lovely quiet side street), decor and facilities (fantastic – light and airy, really comfortable with everything you could possibly need, including widescreen LCD TV and DVD player – not that you really need them on holiday!), service (Pasquale and Max are both so friendly and helpful), and breakfast (included in the price in the cafe downstairs – good selection of items and served until 12pm – great if you fancy a lie in one day!).
When we arrived Pasquale was waiting outside the apartment to meet us. He helped us with our bags and then took us on a short guided tour around the Old Town Square to make sure we knew where we were and how to get to all the main places. He was also really helpful in recommending (and personally walking me to) a lovely bakery where I could buy a birthday cake for my boyfriend later on during our stay. Pasquale and Max made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and made it clear that they were always there if we had any queries or needed any advice. This kind of personal service is so rare and this, coupled with the excellent location and standard of the apartment, means that I rate this as one of the best places I have ever stayed!
October 21st, 2009 at 3:35 am
The apartment at the top of the building is beautiful – with a balcony and views of the castle; the rooms are spacious and comfortable with lovely furniture and all amenities you could wish for. This would have made our stay almost perfect, but the thing we loved more than anything else was the warmth of our welcome (Pasquale awaited our arrival at the door, his Mum delivered not only our breakfast but lovely conversation, Max accompanied us to the tram stop on the first morning). The dedication to delivering excellent service was apparent, and we have already recommended this to our colleagues and friends. Thank you for making our city break so memorable.
Those who are deciding what to see in Prague – don’t forget the Vyserhad fortress and park , just up the road from the apartment – a wonderful way to spend a chilled-out Sunday morning after the rush of seeing as much else as possible.

Just returned to Australia from our European holiday and stayed in many B & B’s. Arcadia Residence ,with thanks to Pasquale and mama’s hospitality, this B & B was by far the best we stayed at, Pasquale and his mum could’nt do enough for us, we were upgraded to the 2 bedroom apartment with beautiful views of the castle and church. The apartment was beautifully furnished with antiques and was spotlessly clean. There was enough food on the breakfast trolley for lunch and afternoon tea as well.
We loved the walk along the river to the old town (had to walk off breakfast!) truly a wonderful place to experience.

I just returned from my 5 night stay at Kozna 6 apartment and couldn’t wait to write this review.
Upon my arrival, the owner, Pasquale was waiting right in front of the building to greet and to help me with my bags. The apartment is spotlessly clean, huge, bright and airy. It’s fully furnished and has more amenities you ever needed. I felt the most at home in this place other than any other places I have stayed. Prague is pretty and can be overcrowded by tourists, but this place made me feel like I lived there. After a long day of touring, I was psyched to come home to rest and relax. The location is just…PERFECT!!! And for the price that includes daily breakfast and free wi-fi, it was truly an AMAZING deal!!!
October 21st, 2009 at 3:36 am
We stayed at Kosna six in May 2009 in a one-bedroom 1½-bath apartment 20 seconds from the old town square. The apartment was 5 star quality with a large living room, small kitchen, eating area, ½ bath and a big bedroom and full bath. The apartment has big screen TV, WI FI, thick towels and was immaculate and great looking. The apartment was also very quiet because it was located in a passageway that didn’t have much traffic.
The owner, Pasquale, arranged to have my wife and I picked up at the train station and driven to the apartment. He met us when we arrived and went over the details of the apartment with us. He also walked us around the old town square to make sure that we could find our way back to the apartment and pointed out the best places to eat. Pasquale also recommended what we should try to see during the two full days we had in Prague. Pasquale is very personable and made sure that our trip to Prague was very enjoyable. We saw him almost every day, since his office is near the apartment building and he always asked if he could do anything to make our visit pleasant. It’s great to have 5 star services when you are on vacation.
The apartment rate included a great breakfast in a small café that was in the same passageway as the apartment. On our last day Pasquale knew that we had to leave before the café opened, so he arranged to have someone bring the breakfast to the apartment and set it up in the dining area. Pasquale also arranged to have us driven to the train station that morning.
Before we arrived in Prague I researched the train fares and found a great fare from Prague to Berlin, but the ticket had to be mailed to us. I wasn’t sure that the ticket would arrive in the USA before we left so I arranged with Pasquale to have the ticket sent to him and he handed it to us when we arrived.
I recommend the apartment and Pasquale to anyone who wants to stay at a great place in the center of Prague for a very reasonable

tayed for 4 nights May 19 -22 and based on all trip advisor reviews I 100% concur.Just the best location 10 seconds from the Old Town Square we could can see it if you looked out the window. Our host had a car pick us up from t he train station and drop us off as close as possible to the hotel. He also arranged for a taxi to take us back to the train station all included in the price.Breakfast each morning was delivered to our room where we had a little kitchen area.It was deilcious. Our host also picked up train tickets for us we were going on to Vienna and saved us some time.Great restaurant at the entrance to hotel Italian where we had 2 very good meals.Used the hotel as great base as we often popped out to see something and then came back for a snack of cup of of

It’s all been said before, really. We had the most wonderful stay at Arcadia Residence. We didn’t see a lot of Pasquale, but Max was always there, and made everything so easy. We felt very well looked after. On the last day, we were not allowed to leave until Max had rung Pasquale so he could say goodbye to us on the phone! – that says it all really. If we went back to Prague, we wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else.
October 21st, 2009 at 3:37 am
My husband and I stayed at Arcadia Residence for four nights in May 2009. We were greeted with enthusiasm by Max and Anna Maria. They are the warmest people you can imagine.
We had originally booked a studio room, but were provided with a two-bedroom apartment when we arrived (at the studio price). It was furnished with antiques and was absolutely spotless. What made it particularly special, though, is the fact that every morning breakfast is brought to your room at the time you state the night before. The breakfasts themselves are quite spectacular, and include eggs (sometimes fried, sometimes scrambled with bits of sausage), fruit, breads (both sweet and regular), cereal, OJ and coffee. I’m sure I’ve forgotten something!
We would see Max in the mornings and throughout the day, and would see Pasquale in the evenings. Anna Maria was around all day. Anything you needed was cheerfull provided. Anna Maria even did some laundry for us.
When we left, we felt like we were leaving family. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Arcadia Residence to family and friends.

I almost wasn’t going to bother with a review – purely because it has all been said before and there is nothing I can add! I’ve been trying to think of something negative I can say about this trip, as to those who have not stayed here before, you must think we’re all being paid to say such nice things! Well, the only thing I can think of is that the box of chocolates given to us at the end of our stay by the gorgeous Pasquale had one covered in white chocolate…which I don’t really like. That really is it – this place is amazing! Beautiful spotless apartment and perfect location with the perfect host. For those of you thinking that such a central location (we stayed at Arcadia Old Town Kozna 5) is not for you – think again. We originally wanted to stay at Arcadia Residence but it was fully booked. We were a bit worried that being so close to Old Town that it may be too busy and a bit noisy. However, the apartments are down a small walkway off the main streets and with the windows open we could only hear the sound of a few birds and the distant chime of the bells.
We spent 3 days walking around the main parts of the city – no need to use public transport – it’s all easily within access. Petrin hill was definitely the highlight, though avoid the mirror maze if you’re over 3 years old!
Hope to go back sometime, though I fear if Pasquale ever moved on, it wouldn’t be quite the same! One of the most charming people I have ever met! Thanks for a wonderful weekend.
October 21st, 2009 at 3:37 am
This is the place to stay if you’re visiting Prague! You will never get anything like this with regard to both service and space staying at a hotel. In addition to all of the other reviews pointing out how wonderful Pasquale and the apartments are, a few additional points from our visit that should convince you to stay here.
- When we first arrived Pasquale walked us around the old town a bit…this would never happen at a regular hotel.
- One night there was a wine tasting in the downstairs wine shop (Kozna 6). Pasquale left us a note apologizing for any inconvenience and a bottle of wine. We never heard a single thing. But instead of waiting to see if we were bothered, he was proactive and gave us a bottle of wine.
- When leaving we were planning to take the metro to the train station. Pasquale said that instead we could catch a free ride in a car that was going out to pick up someone. It turns out this didn’t work out due to timing, so he instead got us a cab and paid for it!
This is why staying at a small, ‘owner’ operated place is so wonderful. There might be cheaper places to stay in Prague (though this isn’t what one would consider expensive), the Arcadia Residence is well worth every penny!
October 21st, 2009 at 3:37 am
My husband and I stayed at Kozna Six (Arcadia Old Town) for three nights in May. We expected the apartment to be pretty good given the amazing write ups on Trip Advisor. Having said that we were still amazed at how nice the apartment was (and how big it was) and how attentive Pasquale was.
Staying at Kozna Six gives you the best of both a hotel and an apartment stay. You get great customer service – Pasquale is always around to help you with suggested things to do, restaurants to eat in and will help with booking cars to and from the airport etc. Breakfast is served in the cafe opposite the entrance to the apartments, which is definitely as good as any hotel breakfast. There is Wi-Fi in the rooms and the rooms are cleaned every day. However you also have all the benefits of staying in your own flat. There is a fully equipped kitchen so you can make yourself food if you wish or even just have tea and milk etc. in the fridge for when you return after a long day’s sightseeing. The apartment is huge – by far the biggest hotel room you are ever likely to have stayed in. There is a living room with a great TV (although not many channels), dining area, bedroom, bathroom and lots of wardrobe space.

Having just returned from spending four nights at Kozna 13 in the Old Town, I wanted to confirm that this is indeed a superb place to stay in Prague. The location could not be better – it’s literally just steps away from Old Town Square, yet the apartment was quiet. It was spotlessly clean, pleasantly furnished and serviced each day to a high standard.
Our breakfast was delivered each morning at a time specified by us and laid out beautifully – and what a feast it was!
We had prearranged a transfer from the airport which was prompt and efficient – much appreciated as we landed late at night in torrential rain.
I can recommend Walks of Prague, leaving from under the Astronomical Clock at 11am, as an excellent introduction to the city and the restaurant Mlejnice (Kozna 14 – worth booking in advance.)
Above all else, my abiding memory will be of the friendly, professional and personal service afforded by Pasquale who could not have been more courteous and helpful. He provides a level of service which, sadly, is all too rare. He deserves to do well.

aving chosen Arcadia Residence based on the fantastic reviews on here and a look at their own website, we were not disappointed in anyway! We had contact predominantly with Max, although we also met Pasquale, who made a special visit just to meet us
! We stayed in the Vyšehrad apartments, although there are also apartments slightly more central in the Old Town Square. However, where we stayed was only a short (8 mins) tram ride away from the Central action and adjacent to the spectacular River, which we enjoyed walks up and down each day. It is also worth mentioning Vyšehrad Fort which is just behind the apartments- a lovely, peaceful place with great views, and not a huge tourist destination.
So why is Arcadia so great? The main reason is the absolutely perfect customer service, with generosity and flexibility high on the list. Max and Mama and the rest of the family went out of their way to supply amazing breakfasts, allow us to access the internet, obtain milk when we arrived on Easter Sunday and couldn’t get any (well, we purchased liquid yoghurt by mistake!!) Max took us to the tram stops, printed off time-tables (they run like clock-work too, something always unique for the English!), recommended excellent restaurants and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a lovely stay.
The apartments are clean, spacious and practical. They are also quiet! The value for money, when you include the abudent breakfast (enough for lunch too!) is absolutely excellent.
Prague itself was wonderful- we had superb weather and enjoyed every minute. We managed to go to the State Opera- a first for us- and the performance of Carmen was magnificent (under £70 for two people to sit in a box alone!!) The Castle and St Vitus are great to see but crowded and the Old Town Square is a lovely central spot, especially with the Easter markets on.
Thank you to Max, Pasquale, Mama and everyone who made our stay so lovely. We will be back one day…

The personal touch given by Pasquale,Max and the family is unquestionable. As with any visit to a new city it’s essential to get to know how the transport system works and Max went out of his way to help, advise and even take us to the tram stop..There were two local restaurants recomended by Pasquale and Max and i’ve got to say the steaks were some of the best we have ever had(and i work in the food industry)..One thing we would advise against though is any imported wine as it was horrendously expensive. After a busy day around Prague it was great to come back to a spotless room .It was a touch of luxury to have the superb breakfast served in your room.

We stayed at Arcadia Kozna 13. Our entire Prag experience was amazing. The location is phenomenal, the rooms excellent and the service absolutely wonderful. Our room had a spacious bathroom, spacious bedroom and living area, which also included a full kitchen. Breakfast was served down the street in a trendy cafe, was tasty and more than plentiful. Pasquale was a brilliant host who arranged an opera and dinner evening for us, and who when we left at 7am the last day by car for Hamburg made us a breakfast bag with a variety and quantity that fed us for the entire day. I wish all hotels were like this. And of course Prag is a beautiful city!!!
