We stayed at Arcadia Kozna 13. Our entire Prag experience was amazing. The location is phenomenal, the rooms excellent and the service absolutely wonderful. Our room had a spacious bathroom, spacious bedroom and living area, which also included a full kitchen. Breakfast was served down the street in a trendy cafe, was tasty and more than plentiful. Pasquale was a brilliant host who arranged an opera and dinner evening for us, and who when we left at 7am the last day by car for Hamburg made us a breakfast bag with a variety and quantity that fed us for the entire day. I wish all hotels were like this. And of course Prag is a beautiful city!!!

The personal touch given by Pasquale,Max and the family is unquestionable. As with any visit to a new city it's essential to get to know how the transport system works and Max went out of his way to help, advise and even take us to the tram stop..There were two local restaurants recomended by Pasquale and Max and i've got to say the steaks were some of the best we have ever had(and i work in the food industry)..One thing we would advise against though is any imported wine as it was horrendously expensive. After a busy day around Prague it was great to come back to a spotless room .It was a touch of luxury to have the superb breakfast served in your room.

aving chosen Arcadia Residence based on the fantastic reviews on here and a look at their own website, we were not disappointed in anyway! We had contact predominantly with Max, although we also met Pasquale, who made a special visit just to meet us :)! We stayed in the Vyšehrad apartments, although there are also apartments slightly more central in the Old Town Square. However, where we stayed was only a short (8 mins) tram ride away from the Central action and adjacent to the spectacular River, which we enjoyed walks up and down each day. It is also worth mentioning Vyšehrad Fort which is just behind the apartments- a lovely, peaceful place with great views, and not a huge tourist destination.

So why is Arcadia so great? The main reason is the absolutely perfect customer service, with generosity and flexibility high on the list. Max and Mama and the rest of the family went out of their way to supply amazing breakfasts, allow us to access the internet, obtain milk when we arrived on Easter Sunday and couldn't get any (well, we purchased liquid yoghurt by mistake!!) Max took us to the tram stops, printed off time-tables (they run like clock-work too, something always unique for the English!), recommended excellent restaurants and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a lovely stay.

The apartments are clean, spacious and practical. They are also quiet! The value for money, when you include the abudent breakfast (enough for lunch too!) is absolutely excellent.

Prague itself was wonderful- we had superb weather and enjoyed every minute. We managed to go to the State Opera- a first for us- and the performance of Carmen was magnificent (under £70 for two people to sit in a box alone!!) The Castle and St Vitus are great to see but crowded and the Old Town Square is a lovely central spot, especially with the Easter markets on.

Thank you to Max, Pasquale, Mama and everyone who made our stay so lovely. We will be back one day...

Having just returned from spending four nights at Kozna 13 in the Old Town, I wanted to confirm that this is indeed a superb place to stay in Prague. The location could not be better - it's literally just steps away from Old Town Square, yet the apartment was quiet. It was spotlessly clean, pleasantly furnished and serviced each day to a high standard.
Our breakfast was delivered each morning at a time specified by us and laid out beautifully - and what a feast it was!
We had prearranged a transfer from the airport which was prompt and efficient - much appreciated as we landed late at night in torrential rain.
I can recommend Walks of Prague, leaving from under the Astronomical Clock at 11am, as an excellent introduction to the city and the restaurant Mlejnice (Kozna 14 - worth booking in advance.)
Above all else, my abiding memory will be of the friendly, professional and personal service afforded by Pasquale who could not have been more courteous and helpful. He provides a level of service which, sadly, is all too rare. He deserves to do well.

My husband and I stayed at Kozna Six (Arcadia Old Town) for three nights in May. We expected the apartment to be pretty good given the amazing write ups on Trip Advisor. Having said that we were still amazed at how nice the apartment was (and how big it was) and how attentive Pasquale was.

Staying at Kozna Six gives you the best of both a hotel and an apartment stay. You get great customer service - Pasquale is always around to help you with suggested things to do, restaurants to eat in and will help with booking cars to and from the airport etc. Breakfast is served in the cafe opposite the entrance to the apartments, which is definitely as good as any hotel breakfast. There is Wi-Fi in the rooms and the rooms are cleaned every day. However you also have all the benefits of staying in your own flat. There is a fully equipped kitchen so you can make yourself food if you wish or even just have tea and milk etc. in the fridge for when you return after a long day's sightseeing. The apartment is huge - by far the biggest hotel room you are ever likely to have stayed in. There is a living room with a great TV (although not many channels), dining area, bedroom, bathroom and lots of wardrobe space.

This is the place to stay if you're visiting Prague! You will never get anything like this with regard to both service and space staying at a hotel. In addition to all of the other reviews pointing out how wonderful Pasquale and the apartments are, a few additional points from our visit that should convince you to stay here.
- When we first arrived Pasquale walked us around the old town a bit...this would never happen at a regular hotel.
- One night there was a wine tasting in the downstairs wine shop (Kozna 6). Pasquale left us a note apologizing for any inconvenience and a bottle of wine. We never heard a single thing. But instead of waiting to see if we were bothered, he was proactive and gave us a bottle of wine.
- When leaving we were planning to take the metro to the train station. Pasquale said that instead we could catch a free ride in a car that was going out to pick up someone. It turns out this didn't work out due to timing, so he instead got us a cab and paid for it!

This is why staying at a small, 'owner' operated place is so wonderful. There might be cheaper places to stay in Prague (though this isn't what one would consider expensive), the Arcadia Residence is well worth every penny!

I almost wasn't going to bother with a review - purely because it has all been said before and there is nothing I can add! I've been trying to think of something negative I can say about this trip, as to those who have not stayed here before, you must think we're all being paid to say such nice things! Well, the only thing I can think of is that the box of chocolates given to us at the end of our stay by the gorgeous Pasquale had one covered in white chocolate...which I don't really like. That really is it - this place is amazing! Beautiful spotless apartment and perfect location with the perfect host. For those of you thinking that such a central location (we stayed at Arcadia Old Town Kozna 5) is not for you - think again. We originally wanted to stay at Arcadia Residence but it was fully booked. We were a bit worried that being so close to Old Town that it may be too busy and a bit noisy. However, the apartments are down a small walkway off the main streets and with the windows open we could only hear the sound of a few birds and the distant chime of the bells.
We spent 3 days walking around the main parts of the city - no need to use public transport - it's all easily within access. Petrin hill was definitely the highlight, though avoid the mirror maze if you're over 3 years old!
Hope to go back sometime, though I fear if Pasquale ever moved on, it wouldn't be quite the same! One of the most charming people I have ever met! Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

My husband and I stayed at Arcadia Residence for four nights in May 2009. We were greeted with enthusiasm by Max and Anna Maria. They are the warmest people you can imagine.

We had originally booked a studio room, but were provided with a two-bedroom apartment when we arrived (at the studio price). It was furnished with antiques and was absolutely spotless. What made it particularly special, though, is the fact that every morning breakfast is brought to your room at the time you state the night before. The breakfasts themselves are quite spectacular, and include eggs (sometimes fried, sometimes scrambled with bits of sausage), fruit, breads (both sweet and regular), cereal, OJ and coffee. I'm sure I've forgotten something!

We would see Max in the mornings and throughout the day, and would see Pasquale in the evenings. Anna Maria was around all day. Anything you needed was cheerfull provided. Anna Maria even did some laundry for us.

When we left, we felt like we were leaving family. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Arcadia Residence to family and friends.

It's all been said before, really. We had the most wonderful stay at Arcadia Residence. We didn't see a lot of Pasquale, but Max was always there, and made everything so easy. We felt very well looked after. On the last day, we were not allowed to leave until Max had rung Pasquale so he could say goodbye to us on the phone! - that says it all really. If we went back to Prague, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else.
