Our first time in Prague and we were not disappointed. Beautiful city but our stay at The Savic made it a visit to remember. We have stayed in good quality hotels all over the world and The Savic is definitely up there amongst them. Can't find anything negative to say.
Beautiful room and bathroom. Wondeful building with so many features preserved. Peaceful atmosphere and well trained, helpful, smiley staff. The young woman receptionist was just perfect in every way, and what a tonic to meet a female manager who was so intelligent, friendly and helpful.
We will certainly recommend The Savic to all our friends and acquaintences. So, if you are going to Prague, stay at The Savic. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

My husband, 2 children(5 and 9), mother and I stayed in 2 rooms at the Savic from the 11th to the 14th of August. Everything was brilliant, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The girls at reception, Vierra and Anna, are lovely, kind and helpful, always smiling! The rooms are spacious, elegant, and very clean. The decor of the hotel is classic , with bohemian crystal chandeliars sparkling everywhere! They have even preserved some of original features of the building, which is one of the things that make it special. Breakfast was good, offering some hot and cold food. Location is perfect if you like being central, close to everything. Like any central hotel, if your windows are open you get noise from outside. but the rooms are double glazed and air-conditioned so we have no complaints. Prague itself is very pretty and friendly. Stay at the Savic, you will love it!

They start you off with welcome drinks and a nice overview of the city. If you need to go anywhere you can just ask the front desk and they'll show where to go on the map. It is an old building but they really made it nice with upgrades. The bathrooms are large and opulent.

e made our choice of Prague hotel based on recent Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed - in fact, our expectations were exceeded during our 4 nights. We were greeted at the airport by Michael who gave us a mini guided tour of the City on the way to the hotel. Anna greeted us at reception where we were given cold drinks and detailed directions from Anna about the best places to visit, transport etc. Our room was large with elegant furniture and the bed was large and very comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor and there was no street noise at all. The bathroom was very opulent with high quality toiletries and luxurious fluffy towels. Breakfast was excellent quality and you can even have a selection of omlette cooked to order at no extra charge. We dined in the restaurant on several occassions and were impressed by the attentiveness and professionalism of the staff. Location is fantastic - right in the heart of all the main attractions and walking distance to transport, shops and restaurants. We even attended an evening classical recital held in a 13th century monastery, which was very special, and of course a ride over the cobbled streets in a horse drawn carriage is a must! The city of Prague is breathtaking in it's beauty, history and culture and if you haven't been, put it on top of your next vacation list of must do's. Michael farwelled us at the airport and it was like leaving behind an old friend. We can thoroughly recommend Hotel Savic to anyone wanting an extra special experience. Thank you to the team at Hotel Savic for making our Prague visit memorable - for all the right reasons!

This is the best choice of hotels in the best part of Prague. Except for those who will pay any price for a room with a view, like those at the Four Seasons for $1000 a night, this hotel is located where the tourist should really want to be--on a quiet street just off the Old Town Square. We stayed 6 nights in Room 311, as shown in the attached photos. It is a large room by European hotel standards. The decoration is fairly bland--beige walls with no pictures or paintings to break the monotony. There is no full-lengh mirror anywhere, only a mirror over a dresser in an ante-room. The dresser contains a mini-bar. The bedroom features a large TV with some English-speaking channels. Only one side of the bed has a reading lamp. But there are night lights on the floor by each side of the bed, something I had not seen before. And slippers are provided, but no bathrobes. I never use the bathrobes anyway. So the room is not perfect, as some might assume from reading other reviews.
However, on the important things, my ratings are at the top. The bed is comfortable. The air-conditioning works flawlessly, meeting even U.S. standards in the August heat. The shower has as much force as you would want and does not change temperature once set.. But the towels are slightly sandpaper from heavy laundering, not fluffy like a five-star hotel. However, unlike the five-star hotels, we were able to have two luggage racks. Normally, a double room is occcupied by two people. Where do the hotels expect the second person to put his or her bag? Well, this is one of the very few hotels to address this in over 40 years of traveling. As others have noted, rooms 309, 310, and 311 are on a landing up about 6 to 8 stairs from the third floor elevator stop. This was no problem for us but might be for someone with a disability.
The breakfast buffet which was included in the 129 euro cost of the room was excellent. There was a great variety of choices, including eggs, sausages, pastries, croissants, fresh fruit and juices, cheeses and meats. I was truly impressed that such a good buffet could be included in such a reasonable price. When we first came to Prague in 1995, there were few hotels; consequently, rooms began around $300 a night. Of course, eating out was a lot cheaper then since there were only Czech restaurants to choose among. But it does make an impression that over the last 14 years hotel quality has risen while prices have fallen.
Finally, let me add that what is really special about this hotel is the staff. They are so helpful, genuine, and friendly, every one from the receptionists to the waiters to the maids. They supply an energy to service that one seldom finds anywhere. And if you wish to tip anyone, you need to act quickly, because they do not wait around for a tip as they do in New York. The Savic staff will insure that your stay is one you will enjoy and not soon forget. And that is why so many of the reviews on this site are so enthusiastic.

We had a five night stay at the Savic, and we couldn't have been happier. The location is perfect---very much in the Old Town center, but on a lovely curved corner out of the bulk of the crowds. We could walk to absolutely everything. There is an internet source just across the street too.
I had looked at pictures on line, and was drawn to the outdoor patio, and pretty rooms, but they exceeded our expectations! Our room was gorgeous, with a four poster bed, beautiful hardwood floors, so spacious that we could dance! We had a window that overlooked the street, where we enjoyed the view, perched on our sill. We also spent many hours downstairs at the restaurant, sipping wine and people-watching, delighted to be part of the bustling scene, and yet apart from it at the same time, shaded on our patio.
I cannot say enough about the staff of the Savic. Everyone was so courteous and helpful in every way. We had asked for airport pick up, which was immediate, and they also arranged a day trip to Cesky Krumlov for us. (highly recommended). The wait staff particularly, was so attentive and friendly---(they even helped with my czech pronunciation!) and hard working! They were there from our first coffee to our last night-cap, and always cheerful.
The breakfast at this hotel was so sumptuous, I started to worry that I had been wrong about its being included with our room. (It was.) ANYTHING you might want for breakfast is on this buffet! Scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, (particularly great) cereals, yogurt, sliced cheeses and meats, pancakes, juices, a huge variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, pastries, breads, and even made to order omelets! It kept us full until a late lunch or even dinner every day.
When we checked in, we were worried as they are doing some construction in the bar of the hotel, but we never heard any noise from the work, and we weren't inconvenienced in any way by it.
Again, I can't think of any thing we didn't love about our stay---I would recommend this charming hotel to anyone, and I think it should be a 5 star!

Spent four days on my own in Prague a few months ago.
I have been most of all wonderfully surprised by the warm welcome in this hotel (drink & map of the city offered at the arrival, the staff always friendly and available asks you if you have had a nice journey and takes the time to advise you all the interesting places to visit... this kind of attentions are very rare even in 5 star hotels!). The location in the very heart of city centre couldn't be better. Nothing to say either about the room made in the old-romantic style which is very comfortable (loved the marbled bathroom). And all of this for a very respectable price. I'll for sure go back to this marvelous city which is Prague and of course in the Savic hotel and nowhere else.

We had a wonderful time at this newly renovated hotel right in the heart of the old town of prague. The room was delightful, big and spacious, and the staff were fantastic. Wifi was included (great for the person on holiday like me who still needs to check business emails twice a day). The breakfast was great (including the free champagne!!!). The staff were delightful- even on the last night they realised we were getting an early train to Salzburg and offered (without prompting) that the breakfast chef would make us sandwiches for the train as we would miss breakfast at the hotel. A great experience in every respect.
